Because madara gave Nagato his eyes, when Nagato awakened the rinnegan made jiraiya train them, and Nagato inspired jiraiya to write a book called naruto, and minato and Kushina named naruto after the book

If madara never gave Nagato his eyes, jiraiya wouldn't have trained Nagato, jiraiya wouldn't have been inspired to write a book and look down at his soup and name it naruto and minato and Kushina wouldn't have a book to name naruto after

How dumb is Madara to give Nagato his rinnengan and doesn't even tell him what he wants with them. Then he trusts Obito to get Nagato to do what he wants which fails and Obito told him that he's not even his ally and never considered him. Madara's plan was crap and he's lucky Kabuto brought him back or he would remain in that cave dead without him getting involved in his plan.
