Is it just me or is Jiraiya really à underrated shinobi?
I think hes atleast in the top 10 or 20list

Jiraiya is definitely within the top 10 strongest shinobi. There aren't many people who can beat him in a straight up fight. Even Pain was lucky that one of his paths revives bodies. He also mentions he would never have won had Jiraiya known his secret.

Jiraiya managed to kill 3 of Pain's bodies with no prior intel. That alone is worth marveling at, but sadly it goes underappreciated. There are less than a handful of shinobi who could do what he did.

I dont think hes underrated, hes very strong and cool ninja. Not many people can beat him if hes in SM mode.
