Jiraiya one shotted both Konan and Kisame. You know, the same Konan who was able to give Tobi trouble. And remember, Kisame was a Jinchuriki hunter. He also defeated three Paths of Pein without getting any injuries or coming close to running low on chakra.

So true, the man was a complete beast! Master of reconnaissance, huge chakra reserves as stated by Pa, and a wide variety of high level ninjutsu and sealing techniques. People doubt his power because he was beaten by 3 paths of pain, and because Naruto defeated Pain later on.

Well honestly, the only reason Naruto even stood a chance is because of what Jiraiya and Kakashi discovered about Pain while fighting him. If Jiraiya and Naruto switched places and had all that info on Pain, there's no doubt in my mind he could have beat him.

Jiraiya was extremely intelligent and was even feared by Itachi and Kisame, stated by Itachi when he says that the best that they could do against him is force a stalemate in which everyone would die. Even Pain marveled at Jiraiya's strength saying that he would have lost if he did not conceal information about his abilities.

We have 3 of the strongest shinobi in the narutoverse stating that they could have been killed by this man. I don't think this is something to scoff at and I certainly agree that Jiraiya is infact underestimated far too often.

WAIT A MINUTE..Oro is stronger that J-man...he took both sannin together and survived without being able to use his seals or power...since Itatchi owned Oro then he can own J-man...remember when they escaped from J-man's tech , Kisame was like, you could take him out ,,,and Itatchi said that he needed to rest cuz he used so much chakra...its clear who is stronger.

erm no, jman easily outclasses oro. oro couldnt use his arms but jman couldnt use any of his chakra or body because of that poison, i think i know whos at a bigger disadvantage and even with that disadvantage jman managed to do well. and yeah oro survived, by running away, that is in no way an idicator of his power. and itachi himself said that jman>him and i have a feeling that itachi has a better grasp on his own powers than kisame does.

as much as i like jiraiya,the fact remains that itachi is stronger than jiraiya.

i mean,you do know the fact that itachi was protecting the leaf by being in the akatsuki,right?....xd

as itachi himself said,he came to the leaf village that time only to check up on sasuke.he had no intention of capturing the nine tails.and think about it,he can't let his intentions be known to his akatsuki-mate kisame!:shrug:


that's why he had to find a reason to get out of there.and the best reason was standing there before him-jiraiya.and it was not only about him retreating out of there.he had to convince kisame to also retreat.that's why,he used the hype that jiraiya had for a long time as a sannin.and that's also the reason why itachi said that the best they could do against him was force a stalemate in which everyone would die.it was said to misguide kisame into thinking that they had no chance and they should retreat!it's as simple as that!

I do think Jiraiya can beat Itachi, when he's in Sage Mode of course. And this
won't be a problem since he can merge with Ma and Pa, plus he has lots of
toad summonings to aid him. The only Akatsuki he could probably not beat was
Pain.

Jiraiya didn't one-shot Konan, he had the advantage over her because she was soaked in oil and her paper couldn't unfold. How many ninja can spit oil from their mouth? Jiraiya andd his toads are the only peole that could hav exploited Konan's paper with oil. As skilled as Jiraiya may be, his fire style was defeted by Konan's paper when they clashed jutsu. Don't underestimate Konan because Jiraiya knows the only counter to her paper. :nexus:

How did Jiraiya one-shot Kisame? He caught Itachi and Kisame in toad mouth trap, but they escaped. Kisame didn't even need to react to Jiraiya's jutsu other than to cut his sword free because Itachi handled it.

I'd like to see you explain how Jiraiya will get past Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo. When Itachi said they would end up killing each other,that was only a mistranslation.

One way to avoid Amaterasu is to simply dodge just as Raikage did. For Tsukuyomi, simply do not make eye contact. For Susano, J-man has sage mode.
