Naruto could not even break finger genjustu that training didn't mean much and he failed at training naruto to control Kurama. The only thing he was successful in training naruto was the rasengan.

Who knows what they were doing because the didn't spend much time training.
Yeah, but you have to consider the fact that he'd avoid being fodderized by Genin Level Genjutsu.

And it actually did come in handy as Naruto initially managed to resist the illusion, but Itachi used a greater chakra which managed to overpower Naruto.

I know I agree with this they spent 2.5 years together and he still needed a clone to preform rasengan
Notice that Naruto stopped needing clones to perform rasengan, when Kurama started cooperating with him.

Ebisu, Kakashi and Jiraiya all pointed out in Part 1 that Naruto's natural chakra was constantly suppressing Kurama's and because so much power was in Naruto's small body, the balance of chakra Naruto molded was wrong. Naruto would either over exert of under exert himself.

Hmm I've never heard this, I remember Jiraiya saying Orochimaru's seal he placed on Naruto was disturbing his chakra control and then he released it and Naruto was fine.

If Naruto stayed and trained with Kakashi for two and a half years, he would have made Naruto into a beast. At least he would have reached an acceptable level where he wouldn't have gotten his ass totally destroyed by Sasuke. Kakashi taught Naruto way more in like a couple weeks, than what Jiraya taught Naruto in a couple years. In my opinion, Naruto should have stayed under Kakashis supervision. Yeah jiraya taught him toads and rasengan (which kakashi could have taught him anyway). Kakashi was minatos close pupil and knows just as much about him as jiraya, so he would have been able to take care of Naruto.

Jiraya teaches Naruto:
- Increase size of rasengan a little bit
- how to fail at breaking genjutsu

Obviously jiraya improved his basics skills like taijutsu and battle instincts and stuff. But all we have to do is look at Sasukes progress after 2 years to know that jiraya did a horrid job.

Kakashi in like a week, teaches Naruto:
- about nature affinity (this is how crap jiraya is, didn't even show Naruto what affinity he has)
- lol, so jiraya taught Naruto how to make a slightly bigger rasengan...well Kakashi taught him how to add freaking wind to it, so suck on that jiraya
- taught Naruto the actual usefulness of shadow clones

All you have to do is look at Minato to know how bad a teacher jiraya is. What did jiraya teach him... Summoning jutsu and that's it. Minato the student had to freaking teach jiraya rasengan. Why jiraya didn't just take Naruto to mount myoboku to learn senjutsu and more toad techniques, is beyond me.

Naruto (and the rest of the K11 for that matter) perceived lack of progress is due to plot more than anything else. Sasuke was crammed full of power because Oro wanted to make the body suitable for his eventual transfer and Kishi wanted to put Sasuke above Naruto. HOWEVER, he also wanted the Akatsuki to be above Naruto and the K11 too, so they couldn't get too good. Plus after Naruto got thrashed by Sasuke, suddenly their is this urgency for Naruto to perfect the rasengan, which never existed before. Just like their was an urgency for Naruto to master sage mode in under a week, that never existed before. If things moved at the speed of plot all the time, then their would be no story.

The konoha 11 weren't personally trained by a legendary Sannin, so that's not really an issue. Actually Sakura was trained by a Sannin, and look at her progress. She went from completely useless, to becoming a monster. She probably progressed the most out of anyone, not to mention she was focusing chakra into her forehead all those years, so she couldn't even bring out her true strength yet. Neji became Jonin! The rest made quite noticeable improvements, considering they weren't trained by anyone special, especially Shikamaru, he showed he can hold his own against akatsuki members. Point is, both Tsuande and Orochimaru trained their pupils to beyond satisfactory levels, Naruto..not so much, it's like he came back with nothing new.

Sasuke:
- Mastery of curse mark
- Mastery of nature manipulation
- gained incredible speed
- mastery in genjutsu

Sakura:
- Learns high level medical ninjutsu
- Gains super strength
- Better taijutsu

Naruto:
- slightly bigger rasengan
Nothing else noticeable that's worth mentioning.

Sakura's taijutsu was never anything to speak of though. She was only looking for one big punch. Even Omoi, a chunin trained by Bee sent her flying with one kick, when Sakura was aiming to hit Karui. Karui who was looking at Naruto at the moment.

Plus all the times Sakura got damseled in Part 2, she really didn't improve her station since Part 1. Part 2 gave her tools/jutsu to be deployed in a fight though.

Naruto got bigger rasengan, better taijutsu, genjutsu training, more coordinated use of shadow clones, tactical training in the field (you had Naruto and Kakashi working in sync together on multiple occasions, philosophy and he was a little smarter and not so dense.

Both Tsunade and Jiraiya only pushed their pupils as far as Chunin level though, imo. Sasuke was pushed by Oro to be Jonin level.

sasuke was pushed to be kage level not jonin . He was jonin level in part 1 , he had two elements , great at ninjustu ,taijustu and gentustu . good at using weapons

He is supposed to be the one to show Naruto's element, tell Kage Bushin secret, and give him some jutsu and maybe better chakra control. It's a wonder the toads did a better job.
Thinks Jiraiya training did for Naruto: Taught Naruto the basics which he was sorely lacking, improved his taijutsu (training caused Naruto' old clothes to be torn up), improve Naruto's timing with shadow clones (can use them faster and in better ways), improve his chakra control, improved Naruto's strategy forming, taught him to use frog summon better and summon the roads he wants, taught him Oodama Rasengan, learned how to break genjutsus, learned "that jutsu", and trained him to use chakra cloak up to 3 tails version 1.

Jiraiya did this with part 1 Naruto who wasn't skilled in things he needed to be skilled in as a genin ninja. Jiraiya's training made all of the trainings that came after be capable. No Jiraiya training means no Kakashi training which means no SM training and no Bee training. When I say no training I mean the training that we see in the manga, they would have to set that training back to first teach Naruto what Jiraiya taught him.

Naw, I think Hebi Sasuke (without Curse Mark amp) was Jonin. It's a high Jonin like Part 1 Kakashi, Guy and Kabuto, and not a low Jonin like Yamato, Ebisu or Shizune.

the only thing i didn't understand in part 1 is :
kakashi aready know the race between naruto and sasuke in power up but he only teach sasuke chidori which make sasuke superior so much than naruto but he didn't teach naruto rasengan to balance situation even in that time he aready know rasengan which he got from 4th hokage (naruto's dad and he know it)
even after hopital rooftop fight he dissapointed about jiraya teach naruto rasengan which he think it to soon

Well to be fair Jiraya was a shitty teacher.
Doubt that when he trained Minato, Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko as well and all of them became Jounin-Kage+. Naruto is a harder person to teach, even Kakashi said he wonders how Jiraiya could train Naruto.

sasuke was pushed to be kage level not jonin . He was jonin level in part 1 , he had two elements , great at ninjustu ,taijustu and gentustu . good at using weapons
Sasuke's base was mid-Jounin, 3T Sharingan took him to high Jounin and CM to Kage level (low). Sasuke and Suigetsu stated that Sasuke only beat Orochimaru because he was already weaken. Sasuke only beat Deidara because he had the element advantage and would have died without it plus he had the white snake powers at that point. Sasuke was Kage with MS and above Kage with EMS.

Kakashi didn't know rasengan in Part 1. Although it wouldn't take time for him to figure it out.

Kakashi saw himself in Sasuke, so that's why he focused on him. When Kakashi and Jiraiya talk, Kakashi chastises Jiraya saying that rasengan was to advanced for Naruto atm. Like Tsunade, Kakashi didn't think Naruto could pull it off.

Kakashi, Kurenai, Tsunade, Orochimaru, Ebisu, Mizuki and Kabuto all could tell Naruto was talentless and he wouldn't make it in the long run. Only Iruka and Jiraiya believed Naruto could push past his station and succeed.

Recall Kakashi doesn't even say he likes Naruto or even believes in him until the rasenshuriken training. Talk about a bad sensei.

That's Kakashi's responsibility to help Naruto with the basics. Instead all he did was either do D rank missions with the team or reads Icha-Icha. I can agree that Jiraiya did a better job than Kakashi though. If Naruto was Sasuke's equal, then Naruto should have been on par at that time rather than after gaining Sage Mode.
