Jiraiya is very tall, he has long bangs that go down to his shoulders framing his face. He also has red markings under his eyes. He wears a dark shitagi and dark pants along with geta (wooden sandals). For protection he wears the normal black mesh shirt underneath his clothes. While traveling Jiraiya also wears a dark haori as well as a backpack with scrolls, ninja tools and other supplies. Jiraiya carries a toad contract scroll hanging from his backpack while traveling. Jiraiya also conceals ninja tools inside of his clothes.
Personality:
As a kid Jiraiya's reason for getting stronger was to prove he was better than Orochimaru and to impress Tsunade. He often teased Tsunade saying he wouldn't want her anyway. Growing up Jiraiya eventually realized that he should focus on other things as well. Being the one chosen to direct the future revolutionary of the ninja world Jiraiya ponders on how to break the cycle of war. Ever since he was a child Jiraiya has been known as a super pervert putting his espionage skills to good use while conducting important research. Jiraiya is also a great show off, often taking over the fights of others and making heroic poses as he announces his grand entrance. Even though he's often goofy he is not be underestimated as he is very cunning when it is time.

History:
Jiraiya was born in the land of fire and raised to be a shinobi in Konoha. He graduated the academy at the age of six and became a member of team Hiruzen along with Tsunade and Orochimaru. Having seen Hiruzen use his summoning ninjutsu Jiraiya spent his time training so that he could have good enough chakra control to perform it himself, however because he did not sign a contract he was mysteriously reverse summoned to Mt. Myoboku. Here Jiraiya trained to master their toad jutsu and eventually learned that he was the chosen one, destined to teach the savior of the world one day. Jiraiya left Konoha and Mt. Myokoku to learn the true way to end the cycle of hatred and currently spends his time writing books and conducting research.
