Jiraiya and the Rinnegan? BIG PLOTHOLE?

Ok, so i have a BIG problem with one thing, maybe someone can enlighten me on this.

Jiraiya instantly noticed the Rinnegan when he saw it on Nagato, he even knew that it's called the Rinnegan, he was in awe of it and knew exactly what i was. No one has ever seen a rinnegan at this point, the Sage of the six path was the last one to have it, but as we know it is written about in the Uchiha tablets, but also as we know only uchiha with the EMS can read the tablets, so someone had to have told Jiraiya about it, IN DETAIL. Who? And why? At this time (the war) i think the only person to EVER have had the EMS was Madara, and surely Jiraiya never spoke to Madara about this. Before you start saying it was common knowledge to know about the rinnegan, WRONG, Orochimaru himself didnt notice the rinnegan, OROCHIMARU! And not Tsunade either, so this has to have been extremely special infromation.

So any idea how Jiraiya knew about the rinnegan and not the other two Sennin? Or is this just a plot hole?

Hanzo recognized it on Nagato also,maybe it's because it doesn't look like a sharingan or normal eyes and they assumed it was a rinnegan because of the techniques they used with it

it was a sort of legend a lot of people heard,even ibiki knew of it....and i think orochi knew too...that`s why he wanted an uchiha body....to fuse it with SENJU DNA and gain rinnegan ^^

Jiraiya basically raised Nagato when he found him so he did see it before, and he's heard of the sage of six paths like every other ninja.​

He's talking about when he first ever met Nagato, he knew right away Nagato had the Rinnegan.

Also, there are only 2 doujutsus seen in NarutoVerse before Rinnegan. The Sharingan and the Byakugan. Everyone who knew in depth of the SO6P knew he possessed a different doujutsu called the Rinnegan. I'm certain anyone, even Orochimaru, upon seeing the eyes can conclude that it's a doujutsu, but not the Sharingan or Byakugan, so the only other option is the Rinnegan.

So not a plothole at all.

The story of the SO6P was a legend often regarded as a fairy tale. Jiraya believed it though, and he ended up finding someone with the Rinnegan. Orochimaru probably didn't notice because Nagato's eyes were covered by his hair when he saw them if I remember correctly. Plus Jiraya believed Nagato was the child of prophecy the toad was talking about.

I dont buy that Orochimaru and Tsunade didnt notice beacause of the hair blocking his face, we are talking about the legendery sennin here. And Jiraiya saw it RIGHT away, so...

The great elder Toad knows about the Sage as well as Katsuyu and the other old snake from Ryuuchido also knows about Sage.
Now anything clicked about Jiraiya knowing about the Rinnegan?
