Yay!!! I finally decided to release chapter 4!! Well, I'll be an A**hole if i don't give props for a few people.

Chapter four
Smoke rose up and filled the night sky as five shinobis sat around a camp fire watching a small pot sizzle. Their day hadn’t ended the way most of them expected; they had found no trace of the escapees and now they had to spend the night outside konoha. At least things couldn’t get any worse… hopefully.
“What the hell is that?” Naruto asked as he stared at the pot supported by small stones above the fire.
“Hey, Naruto! Don’t be so rude.” Sakura snapped as she hit his arm.
Hokori smiled. “Oh, it’s okay for him to ask what I’m cooking. It’s a fish sauce with vegetables, Naruto.”
“Yuk! I hate vegetables!” Naruto stuck his tongue out.
“You shouldn’t do that Naruto. Very few people have told Hokori they hate her cooking.” Kakashi warned.
“Huh! Why’s that?” He said as he took a bowl reluctantly.
“They are all dead!” Kakashi said coldly.
Naruto froze as he heard those finally words. He had already put a spoonful in his mouth to taste the meal.
“Well,” Hokori smiled at Naruto. “What do you think?”
Naruto almost choked with fear. The meal was good, but he hated vegetables. He thought about telling her about his hatred of veggies, but he wasn’t sure if what Kakashi said about people dying over a comment about her meals. And the four shinobis staring at him waiting for his reply weren’t helping matters.
“It’s not ramen, but it’s the next best thing.”
Sakura and Sai signed as they released their breathes and each took a bowl of fish porridge and tasted it. Kakashi smiled to himself as he watched his students at their meals.
“Kakashi-kun, you shouldn’t scare your students like that, you know?” Hokori said softly.
Naruto looked up at the two of them. He had never heard anyone call Kakashi any other name apart from sensei, sempai and san. He began to doubt Kakashi’s last words to him.
Hokori noticed Naruto looking at them and turned as darkness crept over her face, giving her a sinister look.
“That doesn’t necessarily mean he was lying.”

A few ruffians sat around a table drinking wine at a bar. Two girls walked around handing out drinks and dodging hands grabbing at their skirts, drunken customers that had begun to lose their bearings.
In a corner that was void of light except for the ray of a candle, three men sat in hooded robes and talked quietly amongst themselves.
One of the ruffians got up and staggered slowly towards their table and slammed a cup unto their table and demanded one of them paid for a refill for them. He was ignored.
“Hey Bob, Ah was talking to ya. Ya gotta pay for ma drink.”
Irritated by his presence, (not to mention his poor dialect) one of he hooded men got up and shoved him backwards.
But the intruder was ready to give up. “Hey, Ah’m da boss ‘ere, ya hear me? So when ah say buy me a drink, Ah mean-“
He never finished that sentence. A punch sent him rolling unto the opposite table and tumbled it over.
The other ruffians got up and began to advance towards the group. The stranger reached into his robe and grabbed a knife, ready to slay the thugs approaching them.
“Koushiro! Stop this instant.” Came a voice from the remaining two seated.
One of them got up and stepped forward as the thugs reached them.
“Hey, Honmalon, these guys aren’t ready to-“
Honmalon raised a hand to cut him off and turned to address the thugs.
“This is all a misunderstanding, please accept our apologies.”
But the group was intent on making them pay for punch their boss. Honmalon signed and signal the last person still seated at the table.
Slowly, Takenouchi removed his hood and stared at the crowd as he made a few hand seals. Simultaneously, all the ruffians dropped to the floor as one by one they were trapped in a genjutsu.
The shopkeeper sensed danger and approached them with the intention of convincing them to spare him.
“Great shinobis, thank you for ridding us of those thugs. How can we repay you?”
Honmalon smiled as his companions asked for rooms to spend the night.

Hokori stood holding a map as the sun rays shone on her face. Her forehead protector was tied neatly around her waist facing outwards on her left hip. She cross-referenced it and looked around at the terrain before turning towards her team.
“Okay, we may not have picked up their trail, but if I’m correct, our escapees should have passed around this forest that’s between Konoha and Tanigakure.”
Sakura looked around and wondered what exactly they were up against. Like the others, she didn’t want to be on this mission.
“So, we’ll do a perimeter search for any traces, eh?” Kakashi asked.
With that all five shinobis scattered and began to scout the area for clues that might help in their quest. After a short while Sai signaled Hokori towards his location and pointed at what looked like green dust on the floor.
Hokori picked up a few and sniffed it. “Hmm, Calamite dust, a rare compound found only in Tanigakure. We’re on the right track.”
She stood up and motioned to Naruto to stretch out his hand; which he did. She made a few hand seals then looked Naruto in the eyes and said:
“Don’t drop it, kiddo… Kuchiyose no jutsu!”
She placed her hand on Naruto’s flat palm as smoke rose from it and a summoned creature appeared.
Naruto looked at it. “It’s a kitty!”
The summon turned and looked at Naruto and snapped.
“Who are you calling a kitty, you ape?”
“Oh, my bad, you do look like kitty, you know?”
“I’m a tiger, you hairless monkey!” Gato roared then turned towards Hokori. “What do you want?”
Hokori smiled. “I need you to help us track down some people with this scent.” She handed over some calamite dust.
Gato sniffed it and hissed. “Always a mission, eh? You never summon me for a spa, or a pedicure or for dinner. Humans!”
She jumped off Naruto’s hand and began sniffing the ground.
“Shouldn’t we be using a dog?” Naruto asked.
“Cats have a lower sense of smell than dogs. Once they pick up one scent, all concentration goes to only that scent. Dogs on the other hand get confused when there are more than 3 scents… Let’s move.”
Gato had suddenly stopped before racing off into the forest, leaving the shinobis to trail after it.

Honmalon had just finished dressing up when Koushiro entered holding a blade. He turned and looked at him as Koushiro placed the blade in his robe.
“Ready to go, Honmalon?”
“That depends on you guys. Let’s begin our departure as soon as you are both ready.”
Koushiro left and he got up and looked out the window. Escaping Tanigakure’s stronghold was very difficult but he knew it was worth it. He smiled to himself and pulled out a scrambled paper from his robe.
A knock on the door made him place back the paper. He turned and walked out to meet his companions. After bidding goodbye to the shopkepper they left under the cover of their hoods.
Suddenly, Takenouchi stopped. The others turned and inquired what was wrong.
Takenouchi was a sensor nin. “We have to move quickly. We’re being tracked.”

Gato stopped in the middle of a market and sat down quietly. Naruto was the first to catch up to her and stood panting as Kakashi and Hokori arrived.
Kakashi laughed. “It seems all those years of cat missions have finally paid off, eh Naruto?”
Naruto frowned as a large shadow crossed over his face. Sai and Sakura were up in the air on another ink bird watching for suspicious movements below.
Sai signaled them as he noticed three figures moving quickly through the crowd. Kakashi motioned to Hokori and they began to move in the direction Sai indicated. Smoke poofed behind them as Gato disappeared while they began to slip through the crowd.
Suddenly, all three hooded criminals took flight into the forest. Kakashi’s team gave chase while Sai kept them informed of their targets movements. To throw them off their trail, the escapees split up and moved in different directions.
Hokori nodded towards Kakashi as she went after one of them. Sai and Sakura gave chase from above after another, while Naruto and Kakashi kept moving in against the last target.
Kakashi looked side ways at Naruto hoping he was sharing his thoughts.
“Something wrong, Kakashi-sensei?”
“Yes, his trail is getting too easy to follow; even without Sai’s help.”
Naruto got the idea. “He’s luring us somewhere? Probably to a trap?”
“Probably. Naruto, I need a five minute gap between us. Hopefully, he doesn’t know how many of us are tracking him.”
“Oi” And with that Naruto stopped on a tree as Kakashi went ahead towards their target.
Naruto bit his thumb and made some hand seals in reverse followed by the seals for Kage bushin, and then he placed both palms on the ground as smoke rose up around him. The smoke cleared slowly as he stood calculating the time distance between him and Kakashi-sensei.

Honmalon stood on a rock panting slowly as he looked around waiting for his companions. He glanced right as he noticed a movement on the bushes; it was only a rabbit.
Sunlight flashed from the corner of his left eye as it reflected of a metal object placed in front of his neck. Damn! He thought. He’s quick!
“This would be a lot easier if you didn’t move.” Kakashi said, holding his kunai in his right hand.
“Well, I never expected Tanigakure to send Konoha trash to try and stop us.”
“Try?” Kakashi asked, sarcasm ringing in his voice.
From behind him came a voice. “Yes, Konoha nin, try”
Kakashi turned as he realized he was holding a decoy. He was certain he was tracking he real one, so why was there a decoy here; Replacement Jutsu, perhaps?
“I don’t know much about you, but you seem to be a tough person to pull of a maneuver like that.” Kakashi remarked as he stared at Honmalon.
Honmalon was amused. “You seriously don’t know who I am, do you?”
He took of his hood and exposed his crew cut golden hair against a dark skin. He had a scarf around his neck and his yellow-golden eyes glared at Kakashi with a sinister killer intent.
Kakasi wasn’t moved. He just stood there analyzing his next move. From what he could deduce already from their brief encounter, this wasn’t someone he would take lightly; no traps so far, so Naruto would be his backup, his element of surprise.
“I’m Honmalon of the phoenix, last known member of the fire sages. That is before I was kicked out for leaking information.”
“Fire sages?” Kakashi thought, no showing his alarm. “Hmmm, those guys were really tough. Obito, I’m going to need your help.”
Almost instantly, a kunai flew towards him. Kakashi moved out of the way and just almost missed seeing the bomb tag attached to the kunai.
KA-BOOO-OOOMM!!!!
Honmalon smiled as he watched the bomb explode and destroy his pursuer.
“I told you Konoha nin. You will try to stop me, but will fail. Trash like you can’t face off against a fir-“
“Don’t flatter your self, Honmalon of the phoenix.”
Honmalon looked up and saw Kakashi perched on a tree. “What? How?”
“Obviously, you have no idea who we Konoha Nins are. Or maybe you are just being arrogant and foolish.”
He jumped down from the tree and stared hard at Honmalon. “Don’t worry,”
With that, he made a few hand seals then stopped as he raised his for head protector upwards; exposing his Sharingan. Then he placed his right hand downwards as lighting began to emit and gather on the hand, giving off the sound of a hundred birds that could be hear over a good distance; long enough for Naruto to hear it.
“This would be over quickly. I won’t kill you, but you’ll lose at least a limb. That should put you on a permanent leash.”
And with that, Kakashi darted forward towards Honmalon with his lightning edge attack. Honmalon stared at Kakashi’s left eye in anger.

Zeya took out a folder a read to her team mates while an ANBU stood away, barely ear-shot from them.
“Yaka Takenouchi, missin nin, left Tanigakure as a chuunin……… known skills: sensor type nin, an excellent genjutsu user.”
“Zao Koushiro, missing nin, abandoned Yukagakure as a genin, deadly mass murderer……… known abilities: Earth release, expert swordsman.”
“Honmalon of the phoenix, missing nin, was a member of the Fire sages community befor being kicked out for leaking information, probably rated as an S-class nin as normal ninja ranks weren’t regarded in the order of Ra (Fire sages)……. Known abilities: Fire relase, although he has never been seen using it, Lightning release, Earth release and, get this, processed-chakra absorption and redirection.”
And with that she shut he folder and looked at Takuya and Tatsu. “Honmalon seems to be the big Kahuna here. You were right Tatsu, bingo section was our target."
“What the hell is ‘processed-chakra absorption and redirection’?” Tatsu asked the ANBU standing away from them.

“Raikiri!” Kakashi cried as he launch at Honmalon.
Honmalon didn’t even move. Instead, he raised his hand and clasped it directly over Kakashi’s right hand before Kakashi could deliver his deadly blow.
Kakashi looked at him shocked beyond anything he could comprehend. Slowly, his lightning began to dissolve away. His Sharingan began to sense the movement of chakra. His own chakra remained intact, but the chakra that had been converted into lightning was moving into Honmalon’s body towards his own free hand.
“Hmmm, that speed, this attack, combining Ninjutsu with Taijutsu, and that cursed red eye, the Sharingan. I’m honoured Konoha sent their copy ninja after me. Eh, Hatake Kakashi?”
Kakashi’s lighting jutsu began to form on Honmalon’s right hand while he held Kakashi’s hand in his left. He smirked as he stared into Kakashi’s Sharingan.
“The Irony of being killed by your own Jutsu. That’s why I told you, you would try and fail to catch me.”
“R-A-S-E-N-G-A-N!” Came a loud voice from the forest as a yellow-haired, blue-eyed Shinobi burst forth holding a massive ball of Chakra in his right hand.

And with that she shut he folder and looked at Takuya and Tatsu. “Honmalon seems to be the big Kahuna here. You were right Tatsu, bingo section was our target."
“What the hell is ‘processed-chakra absorption and redirection’?” Tatsu asked the ANBU standing away from them.

“Raikiri!” Kakashi cried as he launch at Honmalon.
Honmalon didn’t even move. Instead, he raised his hand and clasped it directly over Kakashi’s right hand before Kakashi could deliver his deadly blow.
Kakashi looked at him shocked beyond anything he could comprehend. Slowly, his lightning began to dissolve away. His Sharingan began to sense the movement of chakra. His own chakra remained intact, but the chakra that had been converted into lightning was moving into Honmalon’s body towards his own free hand.
“Hmmm, that speed, this attack, combining Ninjutsu with Taijutsu, and that cursed red eye, the Sharingan. I’m honoured Konoha sent their copy ninja after me. Eh, Hatake Kakashi?”
Kakashi’s lighting jutsu began to form on Honmalon’s right hand while he held Kakashi’s hand in his left. He smirked as he stared into Kakashi’s Sharingan.
“The Irony of being killed by your own Jutsu. That’s why I told you, you would try and fail to catch me.”
“R-A-S-E-N-G-A-N!” Came a loud voice from the forest as a yellow-haired, blue-eyed Shinobi burst forth holding a massive ball of Chakra in his right hand.
