Well they can't be "Peins' because they aren't Nagato, that is just the name he called himself.

I don't think they are Madara's "paths" (correct word) though either, just because there are seven of them plus Madara and also that would be extremely stupid on Madara's part as it would limit what each of them could do.

The most likely thing is that Kabuto summoned them and gave control of them to Madara or that Madara summoned them. Though if I remember right it was Kabuto that summoned them.

Well unless Nagato is controlling them then there is no possible way they would be called "Pains or Peins". What Nagato did was create "Paths" that he controlled. Pain was just the name he called himself instead of Nagato.

But I do agree with you that they are Edo tenseis, the only question is whether Madara or Kabuto summoned them and how Madara put his eyes into them.

i think he has assigned the powers to the paths, but kabuto will be the one controlling them. unless the rinigan gives the user a boost in chakra, i don't see how madara can use 6 bodies.

I think they're paths because they share Madara's eyes, which seems to be a part of the paths jutsu. All of Pain's paths shared the Rinnegan even though they didn't originally have them.

As others said Madara is using Kabuto's reseruction Technique. If you remember he made Kabuto show him how it's done. With this technique Madare won't need Chackra rods like Nagato and he is able to control them just as Kabuto controls the ninjas he reseructed. I'm 99.9% sure. Hope this helps
