It shouldn't be long....
I've seen many people wondering how come Obito mastered Juubi's power so fast???
Well, some people stated it took Naruto over 16 years to control/ tame/ befriend Kyuubi while Obito did it on a whim. That's not really true... People should look at the grater image. Naruto in the first part was a kid (he still is but less). There's no way he could've control Kurama back then. Back then Kurama was the strongest being in narutoverse. Naruto had to work for a long time on his chakra control so that he could achive what he did.
It is not true Obito didn't work for controlling the Juubi. For all this time Obito was learning and working very hard by gathering Biijus, manipulating people etc. And now for the facts.
Obito was taught by Madara rikuudo's jutsu, it's stated in manga (kishi doesn't show villains trainings, manga would be too long and it wouldn't actually bring anything to it anyway, we only need to know they're powerful, we don't need to see how they got their powers). Obito has Hashirama's cells (half of the body in fact) which helps to suppress Bijuus (also ten tails) and he's got the rinnegan (which we don't really know the full extension of power) which probably helps to control Juubi as well.
Juubi is mindless creature at the moment, it's easier to control that than actually aware and conscious, thinking creature that doesn't want to share its power with you but to overcome you and posses your body (talking about Kyuubi in the past). Juubi is also not at it's full power (no Kyuubi and no Hachibi chakra which are the 2 most powerfull bijuus, so in fact Juubi lacks a lot).
We can clearly see that Obito's consciousness is being shattered into pieces... (shown by the picture and the image of his body being ripped apart) would you, if you were Obito at this point, not fight with all your strength to overcome the mindless Juubi's "mind"?
Plus Obito is not a kid like Naruto was for most of the manga.
Obito, and this is the most important part, was prepared to become the Juubi Jinchuriki!!!! (he's a villain and they are always more powerful than the good guys for most of the time in manga until the main protagonist becomes more powerful and than manga/arc finishes)
