On topic- most of those russian lives were giving up defending homes russian people made the choice to stay and no one looks over how inhuman the japanese were during WWII the Russians main enemy was germany and the US's main enemy was Japan, our worst event (not counting D-Day) was the first wave at nagasaki...

I think it was because the genocide was mainly against Jews and we already had something to blame the Japanese which was Pearl Harbor. The stuff they did to the Chinese was more personal to Asians so they remember it more. Pearl Harbor hit us at home.
