For those not familiar it's a Netflix marvel show
For those not wanting spoilers I'll say season 2 was okay and enjoyable but did find some faults in it.
The first season might of been my favorite marvel tv show and the premise of the first season is pretty much dealing with struggles of rape and trauma of involuntarily taking life.
In season 2 we see the issue of mental illness being touched upon, her confronting her past traumas of losing her family by her mother being revived to get closure from her past and the flesh out more the trauma of taking lives and deciding if shell give into her inner demons or decide to put herself out there and give chance of caring about people and building a life.
The season started of with a lot of promise we are told about there's a threat stronger than jessica taking out experiments like her, we soon find out this threats really her mother who gets cases of bloodlust. My overall problem with the season was I was pissed off the decision making of the characters specifically jessica for whatever reason she choose to not give her mother a chance and I guess to extent it's fair since she killed her first love. But she midway decides to give her mom a chance and give up on her randomly and tbh the mother wasn't that crazy and could be dealt with and I guess I could excuse Jessica's choice by simply being human emotional and irrational but they could of at least done a better job conveying why she didn't want to give her a chance. I guess maybe the trauma her mom being alive was too much but jessica did say she understood what she did.
The doctor offing himself was stupid aswell since he willingly wanted to experiment on her not caring about the consequence and then last minute awknowledged the effects of his creations decides to off himself also not caring that would trigger Jessica's mom.
The sides kicks side stories where pretty uninteresting most compelling is Trish falling back to addiction and having a savior complex. I don't see what endgame for the lawyer is if they're building her as potential villain or not she says she has new outlook on life but also doing shady shit and plotted have someone to get murdered so it's obvious what path there pushing her character. She was apart very minimally throughout the season and besides all the lesbian *** scenes was impactful plotline. The black assistant wasn't really impactful either other than to provide sexual tension with Trish we know he's a recovering addict and built a type of dependancy to Jessica but quit her he originally wanted to help people but see his character having a dark turn.
The beginning was good the middle waa meh, and ending was pretty good her mom's death in the end was pretty impactful even tho sad it ended that way jessica needed that for character growth and will be interesting to see how this will change her. We see Trish has abilities now having pretty good agility now. Over all pretty most the characters are d!cks and rip to Jessica's mom
