Jenner isn't going to jail for killing a guy in a car crash.

Appearently protecting your loved ones isn't as good as changing your balls
It might also have to do with the fact that there are already plenty of existing awards(both in and out of the army), parades, monuments and a holiday to commemorate soldiers

And this goes to show the world that the LBGT community is for sown reason treated better than everyone else. It's obvious that government and media are pushing this for some reason. Even so much that they will be bused towards others while giving that community better treatment. Another bad government practice in treating others better is giving Michael Vick years for fightin dogs but not arresting cops for mirdering people. It's a cold world.
Yeah man, totally treated better than everyone else. Which is why only until the last few years they've been able to get married. And never get ostracized or treated coldly in society. Or were never murdered for their orientation. Or physically attacked. And they also aren't put to death in many countries or imprisoned for life solely for their sexual orientation. Ever. Cuz everyone everywhere just loves them all.

Yeah but does she deserve it?
Seeing as she is now living proof for many who struggle with the social ostracism for being transsexual or transgender, yes. The point of giving her the award is to represent acceptance for a community that often not only doesn't get it, but have the quality of their life reduced because of that lack of acceptance. The award isn't for Jenner, it's for what giving the award to Jenner represents: It's okay for you many people to exist as you do.

The us laws are based on religious laws so it's understandable why they just got to get that law. And ummm, every body of every orientation has been discriminated against. Did you ignore what I said about black people?

Not really. The US employs a separation of church and state, so religious laws aren't the basis. Otherwise, abortion, contraceptives, trans surgeries and gay marriage would be illegal. What millennium you living in fam?

And? Yes, everyone has had discrimination and ostracism thrown their way, and every one of these forms of discrimination have been combated against, separately and accumatively. This is one case where a particular one was combated separate from the rest. That does not diminish the efforts put forth to combat the rest. Are to just let discrimination exist without saying anything just because there's a lot of it?

That on happens to gays... yeah ok.

Under these criteria every group of people in the world are just as discriminated against as gays. there are places you can't go in America as a straight white male and not get beaten for just being white(Parts of Oakland spring to mind first) so yeah.

See my last post.

I suppose "Everyone has been discriminated against" should have been yelled at every rally against slavery.

You're right but the us constitution is somewhat based on religious laws. Go read it for yourself. Other laws were made to accomodate the people. They probably took so long to pass that law because they thought it was wrong. That community actually worked hard to get that law passed. If they didn't, it would've never gotten pass. They have a big political power. What I was saying is, propel are scared to go against that community because of their political power and whining. Even on little shit, they press you politically. This is a fact. On lots of lawyer shows etc, people talk about having them as allies because their strong political power. And if one person stands up against them, they're persecuted and made to look bad and apologize. Just like if people speak bad about Jews, they're whopped politically and treated wrong because of their outward opinion and opposition to it. You're telling me you don't see the power that community has?

BUS POV:
[you can add this to OP]

Bruce Jenner in the polished Escalade carrying the dune. ~ $

It wasn't that long ago, maybe a year, and Bruce was distracted while driving with a phone.
He was smoking prior to the crash, not texting:

I don't know the full story but my gut is telling me the police are making excuses to not send him to jail.
Jenner tried blaming it on the paparazzi.

Fortunately everyone called him out at the time.

I looked it up, and apparently it was determined he wasn't intoxicated or using a phone, so it couldn't be ruled a felony.
Everyone in that time didn't face slavery. You're excellent at making shitty correlations
You're actually shitty at understanding them. You're dismissing the validity of fighting this discrimination because everyone has faced discrimination in the past, even if it wasn't the same. I'm saying by that logic, we shouldn't have fought against the extreme discrimination found in slavery because, as you said, everyone faces discrimination, so what's the point?

I swear half the time you and Slim are arguing, one of you is interpreting it wrong, lol. In this case, Slim.

Everyone faces the same discrimination in the cases you're using so it can't and shouldn't be ammunition for a specific cause if others are currently facing the exact same thing.

Why your example is shit is because white people weren't slaves AT THE SAME TIME

That doesn't matter. What matters is that several groups facing the discrimination doesn't mean efforts can't be done to combat it in the name of a specific group. What matters is that everyone facing discrimination doesn't mean that you can't combat discrimination towards a particular group.

So essentially, because everyone was discriminated against at one point (note: they all pushed to be treated fairly when they were discriminated), we shouldn't care if minorities are still being discriminated?

Logic. :sdo:
