It's better if Jiraiya just stays dead. I've had it with characters coming back from the dead. What's the point in killing them, when they come back later in the story?
With Orochimaru he had a loophole, with the rest of the Edo Tensei too, but what explanation can he find for Jiraiya? His body is still lying on the bottom of the lake - let him just stay dead. If he came back, it would ruin his tragic ending.
I really don't get the obsession of this base with bringing Jiraiya back *shakes head*
