[Discussion] Japanese pronunciation of foreign language is just horrible

After I watched a bunch of anime I am pretty annoyed by the pronunciation of english and german terms in anime. I know it's hard to deal with it when it isn't your mothertongue for example japanese people have some problems to pronunciate the "L" because the sound doesn't exists in their language instead they use a sound like a "R".
But can it be that every japanese voice actor isn't able to pronunciate proper english or german?

Yeah some topic I came up with. Don't understand me wrong I love Anime and Manga however...

Yeah many people might not be in fluent in English/German as native English/German speakers. Same way as an English speaker will not be fluent in Japanese and their pronunciation will look bizarre to a native japanese speaker.

I dont think its that easy. Its more about incompetent voice actors. It is all about practicing the same sound over and over again. The english language is omnipresent and the pronunciation isnt that hard, esspecially for a high developed nation like Japan which is very western orientated since the end of World War 2. They must have very bad english lessons in school for example in Germany we learn english from the beginning of the elementary school till our graduation.

Dude u dont understand. The alpabet in japan is not roman letters. translating foreign words is translated using their letters. Its not like they are not capbable of talking like you do.

Still it is a matter of fact that a lot of japanese have bad english skills and so the japanese voice actor. Just google it and dont try to harass my freedom of speech.

It's not like they will make the Anime the way you like and to please you. However, the original Jap dub is still better than any other dub.

Who is calling the kettle black? English speakers have ben mispronouncing other languages for centuries. And many English speakers never want to learn how to properly pronounce peoples Names.

This sort of issue is everywhere.
China is suppose in Mandarin; but each different province have different slang.
Japan language is suitable and/or similar to China & South Korea, including the writing.
Even in both Britain & USA, although are English, but are totally different in speaking and writing (certain words).
When one is totally used to the way that American speaking (in English), especially after watching most movies;
But when watching EU (movies in English), listening are quite difficult to listen.

Who is calling the kettle black? English speakers have ben mispronouncing other languages for centuries. And many English speakers never want to learn how to properly pronounce peoples Names.

Finally some eloquent answers. Yeah i agree but sometimes it is hard to distinguish between laziness or comfort.
Do they mispronunciate it because of missing skill or just to hold on their own language flow? I meant maybe it would sound awkward if you adopt a whole word including the original pronunciation without adjusting to your language. When i watched an anime i realize that they use some english phrases and put a japanese suffix at the end..

Have you ever tried to learn/speak a language completely different than your native one?
