Japanese Personality Traits Based On Blood Type

So supposedly in Japan there is a belief that someone's blood type is indicative of their personality. A lot anime and manga characters blood type is noted by their creators. Here are the blood types and characters for Tokyo Ghoul:

Type A
Traits: Self reliant, asocial, shy, polite, independent, sensitive, artistic
Characters: Shuu Tsukiyama, Renji Yomo, Seidou Takizawa, Nico, Donato Porpora, Koutarou Amon

Traits: thorough, focused, optimistic, serious
Characters: Uta, Yakumo Oomori, Hairu Ihei

Traits: outgoing, energetic, social, unreliable
Characters: Touka Kirishima, Hideyoshi Nagachika, Ayato Kirishima

Japan is very big on blood type. Hence why you'll know the blood types of anime/manga characters, including those in Naruto. I think it's also a thing in S. Korea, though I don't know if it's to the same extent. I think the typing thing is called ketsueki gata or something like that...
