In Japanese Mythology I've heard it quoted that "Time stands still for the dead" and they therefore can't move on..(leading to angry spirits/demons etc.) IF that is the case, then how would Talk no Jutsu work on someone like Madara or Kaguya? (Or even Obito who may/may not have died under that rock and been brought back by Madara).

Also, if time were really stopped for the dead then wouldn't Madara's "Eternal Tsukiyomi" result in being more of a "pause button effect" as Madara can't move time forward and therefore can't edit a forward moving time loop, with the dead having no concept of future time?

I have to ask because the idea melted my brain and ice cream is sat here typing.

time is meaningless in spiritual world
it's only for physical world

so If you think of the after life more like a spiritual world where individual spiritual being exist in then time is meaningless

but edo-tesei bring back the dead, the spiritual form with in a physical form, then that's how the time has it's meaning so does the space

That kind of thing would explain Obito's time/space abilities and also why Madara NEEDED Pain. I now believe Madara only allowed Obito to become ten-tails jinchuriki so that he could use the life force from the tree.
Thankyou! +rep

obito space time is another story
he use Parallel dimension to overlap and move
have you ever thought that If obito teleport a part of his body, like his head to other space and time, how does he lives with out his head!?

Okay I see what you mean, at first I thought it was like Ohnoki's particle ninjutsu after seeing what Ohnoki did to Sasuke, and how Obito brought Sasuke back, but his particle ninjutsu is more of a weapon by breaking down something at molecular level than a defensive/moving technique.

Also before I was thinking that if Obito where dead (as you said before about time being meaningless in the spiritual world) it would cause a rift in space/time and explain his abilities, but scrap that lol.

talk no jutsu is the only way to stop an evil spirit. obviously traping kaguya in the god tree aint really working
to be honest, its going to be the sage, who will pull off the biggest talk no jutsu we've ever seen

madara and kaguya will just reancarnate in others if they get physically destroyed, hoowwweeeverrr!!!!!

if they were say, talked into changing the cycle then mabey peace can be in reach... plus it isnt real bruh cheer up

I'm now wondering if the sensory ball in Hidden Leaf is saying something by spliting into two, could it be saying that time is about to run out for the Tsukiyomi cycle, and therefore victory is about to, be grasped just in time without Talk no Jutsus? Then perhaps, the fullness of Madara's soul could go into Sasuke and either be killed by Naruto for a sad ending, or be Talk no Jutsu'ed into peace for a happy ending.
My ideal ending would be to literally bring back EVERYONE and have them all understand each other, through mutual hatred of the Ninja Warring world and peace and happiness to all. Especially Deidara who needs to learn not to act like a bratty teenager and Obito, who needs something good to happen for him, once, perhaps!!!

I think that's going to happen but it should be dramatic else It would be lame
ofcourse madara at the end would understand his mistake and he will decide to live the fate of the wrold to naruto and sasuke or something
I don't know the details
infact no one does
