No, cause Pink Blossoms would be writen as ピンクの花。

"Sakura" means "cherry blossom", a flower which is cherished in Japan due to its beauty and its almost-tragically short life span (cherry blossoms have historically been associated with the samurai). The cherry blossom also serves as the national flower for the nation of Japan. In Japanese, "Haruno Sakura"..........meanings not Japanese language lol

What? I know what Sakura is... you said Sakura means "pink blossom". It's doesn't, all I did was correct you.

Sakura means "cherry blossom". And it can be written as さくら、サクラ or 桜.

Cherry Blossoms and Pink Blossoms are not the same thing, nor are they written the same.

....same thing.....but you see the point the sages name is rikudou sennin

Cherry Blossom and Pink Blossom are not the same... wow. I already show you how they aren't the same. Also, Sennin is written as 「センニン」 and means "hermit". Rikudou is written as「六道」and means "deities". 「六道センニン」becomes "Hermit of Deities (This is it's literal meaning)."

Because 「六道」 is referring to buddha, and the "Six Realms" . The translation of 「六道」 becomes "Six Paths". 「センニン」 can be translated to become "Sage". Put them together and you get "Sage of Six Paths"

* link to the Six Realms.

Sakura mean pink blossom
Sakura actually means Cherry ^^

ピンクの花 (Pinku no Hana) (Flowers of Pink)
「桜」の花 (Sakura no Hana) (Flowers of Cherry) Because Sakura has a kanji from, you can drop the の花. Making「桜」Sakura; meaning Sakura (name), Sakura Tree, Cherry Tree, Cherry Blossom

You can also write「桜」in it phonetic forms, as「さくら」or「サクラ」。

This is interesting shit! Are there any other puns/double meanings not immediately clear to an english-speaker?

Most of the stuff you read that has been translated from Japanese to English is made up. Literal translation rarely make any sense. So, translators take the literal meanings, and edit/change them to how they should be said/sound in English. When this is done, it destroys the original Japanese, so when you go to translate the (translated Japanese) back to Japanese, you get a totally different means from when you started. I hope this make sense. Hence the Hermit of Deities becoming the Sage of Six Paths.

This is an example of why translating is not as easy as it looks.
六道センニン > Hermit of Deities (lit)> Sage of Six Paths > 神のセージ > Sage of God (lit)

As you can see, it get pretty broken (but only when the literally meaning has been changed). I haven't been studing Japanese for long, but this stuff is fairly simple. As for any other examples like this, I have no idea. :(

Rikudou Sennin is his title not his name.... Just like Sannin is Jirya's title or Shinobi no Kami is Hashirama's or Yellow Flash is Minato's earned title..... Probably no one remembers Sage's true name.

A lot of characters in Naruto have meaningful names that reflect in their actions:

Itachi: Weasel.
Minato: Port.
Neiji: screw or bolt.
Chouji: Has butterfly in his name.
Haku: Pure.
Kiba: Fang.

That's all I can remember now.

I'm not a language scholar or anything, but Western names have meanings too. It's just that so many of them are so old and languages have changed so much over time that we have to look it up to know what our names mean, that we're calling each other "Butterfly" or "Blacksmith" or "Corn" or "Scarecrow".
