Just making this thread to make some things clear. In Japan, friendship-brothership and loyalty are VERY important. There whole culture is based on these 3 things. Just saying because sometimes I see people here wondering why Naruto keeps trying to save his friend, Sasuke. Even when Sasuke tried to kill him.
But really, it's always the same concept, al-ways! Each single manga.
Naruto: Naruto and Sasuke rivalry, friend-and brothership.
Berserk: Guts and Griffith. Griffith as the traitor.
Attack on Titan: Many bonds and stuff.
Vagabond: Musashi and Matahashi.
Bleach: Bonds.
One Piece: Bonds.
Gantz: Friendship is the key of surviving.
Monster: Loyalty.
.
.
.
(and so on and on)
It is just a very big deal in Japan. It is not weird, it is not 'an obsession'. It's part of there culture. Being loyal to a friend, being loyal to there bonds between them, being a good friend. It's about honor!
