They lose alot of money from everyone freeloading. Read/watch online for free and don't buy a single volume/Dvd etc.

I suppose the Chinese sites are the main targets here. I wonder how this will play out.

I don't think anyone can rightfully complain about this.

They charge too much money for everybody to buy every manga that they read. Plus what if we want to read manga's that aren't in production anymore?

Thank God it's only on Chinese sites

It said mainly operated by Chinese, still a chance non-Chinese websites will get shut down.

As long as I have my Kissanime, Gogoanime, Fakku and Mangapanda I'll be happy.

Wow hopefully they don't hit most of the main anime/manga websites that we use.

Are they targeting Chinese sites only?Aren't we getting Illegal raw scans from Chinese Illegal Sites?

I get my raws direct from a secret source and I'm under the impression that other sites use similar sources.

There's a huge Chinese manga site called DM5 who deliver Chinese scanlations, sometimes they have Naruto and other mangas a day earlier than the English scanlations so I read them there.

As long as MS, MP, NWAnime and DM5 remain untouched, I don't care about the rest.

Anime Freak has a tiny library compared to NWAnime.

I just figured out about this site, and I figured out you can watch anime from your phone here. Let's hope it remains untouched

I read this before, like a while ago. >_>

Don't worry guys, It's been confirmed to only be Chinese sites for now.

But this part:

In cooperation with 15 major anime production companies and manga publishers, the Japanese government will next month start a huge extermination operation against 580 foreign sites which have illegally uploaded anime and manga contents on the web without the copyright holders' permission, NHK reported on July 28. While the government has started supporting the genre as one of their important cultural exports, there appears to be no end of illegal uploading of anime and manga via pirate sites, mainly operated by Chinese. The Cultural Affairs Agency estimates the loss caused by the Chinese pirate sites last year was amounted to at least 560 billion yen (about US$ 5.5 billion).

On August 1, the government will start simultaneously sending requests to delete illegal anime and manga contents to the operators of the 580 foreign pirate sites which they have found. In addition, the operation will launch a new site to guide the fans to a legitimate site offering some 250 titles including the latest ones at a cost of several hundred yen.

Makes no sense at all. Why would they launch a site that uses Yen when they're targeting foreign sites? :|
