[Discussion] Japanees Manga Ratings are bullshit

you know how we all say naruto is doing bad in japan,that's not true its just one guy
who decides which manga should be populair or not.

so let me get this straight,this guy depending on his mood can cancel any manga he wants.

he's probably the reason Bleach stoped having an anime.
and soon i feel naruto turn will come too. (because it's doing bad in Japan)

Sounds like a misunderstanding to me. The guy in chief or whatever just picks the order it appears in WSJ, like, does it go OP first, or Naruto first, or Bleach first, he doesn't decide what to put for the popularity of the manga.

The ratings are legit, they just don't decide what order they appear in withing the magazine, that's up to what the guy in charge feels like putting them in.

actually i heard bleaches anime stopped because kubo wanted to finish his final arc first ... however that could have been just a rumor but meh.. i dont go much by there ratings anyways.. most of the manga sites i go on have a rating system and its fairytail, bleach and onepiece at the top it seems atm

What? For manga, the ratings are important, Naruto's ratings have always been good so there's no way it'll get canceled. As for anime the TV ratings are important, ex. Fairy Tail was canceled because it just wasn't popular.

while its true that TOC might shown that which manga are doing well in the rating and which not, but then again its not the actual rating, only the mangaka and their editor knows about that
