Japan Tragedy: One Year After!

Tomorrow marks the dark day anniversary of the tragedy that struck Japan last year.

In case, you were in an extensive coma last year and never heard the news, then last year, on March 11, 2011, a massive earthquake shook Japan; leading to a terrible Tsunami and Nuclear Meltdown.

I've made this thread to pay tribute to everyone who lost lives in that fateful event and to keep urging people to keep helping Japan. Don't forget, natural calamities may happen everywhere.

Here's some stats after one year

Confirmed deaths - Around 16000
Number of missing - More than 3000
Number of displaced residents - 340,000+
Number of destroyed houses/buildings - 129,104
Donations to Red Cross Japan - €452 million
Evaluated Costs to rebuild Tohoku region - €180 billion

I would also like to pay tribute to the Philippines, that was also effected thanks to the tsunami.

I pray to my dear friend and her brother that suffer this event and having to lose some of her family members and friends. I hope you guys are ok. U_U

Oh yeah... I cant believe that it has been a year...

My friend's mom was there when it happened and also my nephew by blood.. The feeling of fear and sorrow we felt was less comparable to those who suffered from it... The voices(shouts) from the videos were enough to give you chills and fright..

In the Philippines, though we did not suffer from tsunami,that year we suffered also from land erosion and typhoon... many people died..
