This thread contains some spoilers regarding Assassin's Creed Syndicate! But even if you don't have the game or less knowledge about it, this still could be an interesting read! Enjoy and read til the end please. =)
AC Syndicate will bring out a DLC 20 years after the events of Syndicate which will only focus on JTR.
Now, there have been some theories going on about Jacob Frye himself being JTR. And people thought that Ubisoft has just confirmed that, by writing: "Scotland Yard orders Evie Frye to stop the bloodthirsty killings of her brother."
I was so shocked that they would write such a huge spoiler in the game case, that I informed myself about it and I have found something interesting.
Evie and Jacob Frye have a brother called Emmett Frye. His father's name or his original name is Emmett Scott, which implies that he had a different father than Evie and Jacob. This probably resulted in some family drama because their mother is most likely a prostitute and thus, Emmett started his killing spree.

P.s. if you look into the first 2-3 minutes of AC:S gameplay, you will see the scene where the names appear.
