Honestly? Jiraya mid-difficulty. He has much more experience when Deidara use to lost sometimes his concentration while fighting(it could be dangerous against Jiraya, who doesn't need 2opportunities left to take his chance), and has a great average of ninjutsu. I'm a Deidara fan, but i don't think he could win.

IN what way would his summons help him?

Gamabunta = Fire/Oil bomb destruction which can counter all deidara's clay birds and such, and have you even seen how fast and powerful Gamabunta is, he can easily dodge Deidara's attacks.

Gamabunta avoided several attacks from several opponents and summons with ease and in the new movie Blood prison he keeps dodging attacks from a surperior opponent.

so dont come and say summons wont work. especially Ma & Pa will devastate Deidara.

In this case it matters just cuz Deidara use to lost his concentration sometimes when he fights. Also against C4, don't forget Jiraya has actually a jutsu that could help him to localise them. The jutsu who helped him to localise even an invisible summon.

You should probably restrict c4 because Jiraiya doesn't have any defense against it. Sure he can sense the nano bombs but I don't know how he can neutralize them or get out of range... or did you include c4 because it's the only way Deidara can win? Draw without it because Jiraiya kicks Deidara's ass so hard he gets mad and blows himself up... (Jiraiya wouldn't do to a toad summon what Sasuke did to Manda).

Deidara also flipped the giant turtle island over with a bOMB!

Gamabunta will easily be taken care of!
Deidara could make some small bird bombs fly into Gama's nostrils or mouth and blow his brain/head up.

Jiraiya won't get a chance to get in SM, he would die by Deidara C2 Dragon.

C3 and C4 aren't needed to handle Jiraiya.

I dont see how J-man will hit deidara in the sky and if he even summons gamabunta and he is able to cancle one of deidara's clay clone he cannot cancel a 100 of them little destructive stuff coming at him all at once

you guys are underrating Jiraiya, Gamabunta and him together would be able to create a vast blast of fire which would stop everything in its path... i can find a counter to pretty much everything Deidara got.

Deidora if he stayes airborne for majority of his fight. As its been noted by onoki, deidora is very fast in the air on his paper plane therefore summonings wouldnt really help jiraiya much. Also jiraiya being a short to mid range fighter will be at a disadvantage from the start if deidora was to start with c1,2 or even 3. He has what it takes to constantly bombard jiraiya then when needed create c4, which jiraiya does not have a counter for.

Jiraiya is clearly the stronger opponent here, but he loses this
