No I think he just was talking about personality, kinda like when orochimaru asks kabuto about his blood type, just cultural importance

I think if Jiraiya was Naruto's grandfather, by this point in the story, it would have been elaborated upon. It would have no importance to have kept it after we found out about Minato and Kushina being Naruto's mother and father.

That's what came to my mind too!! Is it common for a grandfather to also be a godfather?

not sure could be. i alrdy knew he was god father but he kinda seemed to be talking about traits passed threw bloodline, guess i wont know till MS translations or another chapter

It's a stretch. But if he was Jiraiya Namikaze... I, for one, would be perfectly ok with that.
