I suppose if Hyori can be cut in half and live, then Kira can lose near 1/4 and still live.

Kubo hasn't given any confirmation because that will make his retrurn and redemption that much more "powerful"(emotinoally, and a little strength boost as well most likely)

Plus if Kira survived he would most likely be too embarassed to return after having served Aizen so blindly(imo) whether he should feel bad about it or not.

Matsumoto had half of her torso ripped out and she still survived.
Hiyori was severed at the waist and she lived.


The point is until we get confirmation that he's dead, he isn't dead. The fact that no one in the Gotei has mentioned Kira dying is actually a good sign

Compare the two pics izaru lost a lung arm and part stomach and or kidney. Rangiku's was lower and izaru had said he barely kept her alive. Not to mention 4th squad did not get dispatched till after Yama died if you remember.

I just made a good argument for him being dead although I really hope he is alive and that he gets to bankai. His would be so amazing

Well, if Orihime was there then yeah he would of been alive for sure, and he didn't get healing services until after the qunicies left, so there is unlikely chance he's alive.... but Byakuya was badly hurt and made a full recovery.... so we don't know.
