Izuna's death. Tobirama or Madara?

Did Madara take Izuna's eyes by force or Izuna left them by his will?

the wiki says Madara and Obito believed he left his eyes by his own will while Itachi disagrees.

Itachi believes that Madara took them by force.

Is there a possibility that Izuna was recovering from the wound but Madara took the chance by taking his eyes by force and probably killing him?If this is true I think that makes Madara the most evil and villainous in the series.and explains his darkness too!!!!



-Izuna didn't die from the wound instantly but he was still able to talk.

-Putting in mind how the manga shows Itachi,his belief must be taken into consideration.

I sort of figured that Madara took Izuna home and Izuna was still hurting from the FTG stab
so Madara probably took the eyes and put Izuna out of his misery..

afterall Madara did say that Tobirama's attack caused the fatal injury.

however, Madara has a different sense of talking and understanding things in his own way..
for instance: He confronted Hashirama about the death of Izuna and said he's responsible for the death..
and he did say Edo Tensei was to wipe the map clean.. but wateva.. <.<

I hate to think Madara was stupid enough to take the eyes and let his brother die. It would've occured to him that if his brother died, then it would be like fighting with only one-hand. :yeah:

Itachi was lying to Sasuke just to keep the "bad guy" act. I think we all know this by now. Although, the only thing I'm upset about is the fact Kishi never showed us any Mangekyo abilities from Izuna. In fact, he never showed us any ninjutsu or genjutsu abilities from Izuna. That was really lame. U_U

Oh well, fillers are the only hope I guess.

PS: By the way, a little word of advice. Wiki can be changed by almost anyone and is definitely not full of 100% legit information.

I think Izuna left them for Madara. Those two cared for each other deeply, Izuna probably knew about Madara's approaching blindness and offered his eyes. Madara saw this as a chance to protect his clan and accepted the eyes in order to protect his clan. I don't think Madara would steal Izuna's eyes by force, Madara seemed to care deeply for Izuna as we saw from the flashbacks. I think Itachi knew this but lied in order for Sasuke to see Madara (Obito) as a bad person and not one to be trusted.

I dont think he took them forcefully, but i do remember that izuna was still alive but without any eyes, and died in a war or fight due to no eyes.

Naruto WIKI says whatever the Manga story says in order to not conflict with doubts..

such as Obito being dead.. We all know now that he survived.. but Wiki probably said he was dead back then
before Tobi was revealed.. Everyone thought he was dead so till we found out he was alive..
or it was a possibility of him being alive.

Good thread. I think madara loved his bro, but IT IS possible he couldnt handle being blind so he forced his brother, however its highly unlikely cuz they were equally strong and i dont think madara had the heart to hurt his brother.

I could have swore it orignally said Izuna gave them to Madara then later died in battle but the later manga pages show he dies in battle and on his deathbed gives them to Madara. I think Kishi got confused in his own story.

Hashirama and tobirama both noted that madara loved izuna and his death is what drove him into darkness. anyways izuna gave his eyes to madara in order to protect the uchiha from the senju and the rest of the rivals. madara couldent even live up to his promise -
