They both have angular faces, and if you remove Renji's Tattoos they'd look more alike

You want similarity? Killer bee and the raikage look similar. And the biggest of all, Hiruzen looks almost same as hagoromo

It's common for anime to have similar looking characters...specially in Japan where everybody is mongoloid
