Izuna is different than most Uchiha

Most Uchiha have their eyes on at the beginning of battle, unlike Izuna.

Because of the Sharingan's ability to see past any attempt to blind the user, Izuna felt pity for those who did not possess one. He also seemed to prefer the element of surprise when using his Sharingan, keeping it deactivated it until he could look into his opponent's eyes.

That's not how it happened in the manga, though, is it? Izuna just killed a Senju and was surrounded afterwards and then Tobirama came out of no where and surprise attacked him. Or at least, that's what I remember happening.

no back story at all the anime has to assume they were fighting given how the matchups were when they all first met madara vs hashi there parents vs eachother and tobirama vs izuna.
