He died just like I said he did, in front of Madara & Hashirama's eyes by the hands of Tobirama.. And as you noticed, he had his eyes so there was a plot hole Kishi left

That entire scene was weird he wasn't using his Sharigan nor his MS and he just got owned by a slash to his torso.

of course from the feelings... maybe from the death of their siblings... and now, maybe their father will die also... remember that, from the whole story of Naruto... we all know that both Madara and Izuna develop their Mangekyo Sharingan at their peek...
