Izuna and Madara

We know Madara went blind from overusing MS and took his brother Izuna's eyes to gain EMS.

Why the heck did Izuna not take Madara's eyes? Sasuke did take Itachi's eyes which were in less than stellar condition and he can see fine, so Madara's eyes would have been ok for Izuna. The Uchiha would have been OP with 2 EMS top class ninjas instead of 1.

They were equal. Madara went completely blind from overusing MS. Izuna offered his MS because he thought of Madara as the better leader and hope of the Uchiha. Thats when Madara gained EMS while Izuna died honorably fightning blind on the battlefield.

It is confirmed. That is why the MS patterns combine in the EMS. If they just replaced their eyes, then Madara would just have Izuna's pattern and Sasuke would just have Itachi's.
