you do not need senju dna to perform either of those forbidden jutsu, the uchiha can cast it without it but the jutsu is "imperfect" in order for it to be perfect it NEEDS senju dna.

The explanation of Izanami was that it was to counter the overuse of Izanagi. Either there were a lot of Uchiha running around with Senju DNA or it isn't required to use it. Danzo used it to extend the time limit to one minute per eye though.

In official translation,obito said to use perfect izanagi you need both uchiha and senju power. He never mention imperfect izanagi which last for few seconds. He used perfect izanagi for 5 straight minutes to escape paper bombs. And izanami is different.

If you ask me, its because Kishi changed it in order to add depth to the Uchiha clan's character. By working Izanagi and Izanami into their history, he adds depth to the level of evil that they could logically attain. I believe he originally made the pair require Senju DNA then changed it later to not require it.

I've seen this defense before and it is no defense at all. Izanami and Izanagi are a pair. One is used to stop the other. They are both a well versed part of the Uchiha clan's history. Neither of them require Senju DNA.

Yes we are, but as I stated above, I believe Kishi changed it in order to add depth to the history of the Uchiha. It actually improves the quality of the story by not making it a requirement.

Don't you find it strange that Itachi mentions the countless use of Izanagi to where it Izanami was in order? Hard to believe a bunch of Uchihas were collecting Senju DNA to use this technique the way Danzo and Obito have. I agree with Floydical, it's possible that Kishi made this change to give the story more depth. It makes more sense for Senju DNA to not be a requirement then for it to be so. I think Senju DNA was only needed for Izanagi to be used to its full potential anyway.

Izangi an izanami can be used by all Uchiha. In the past the jutsu caused conflict within the Uchiha clan. The Izangi users were using it to gain power and Izanami was used to cure those that focused on using Izangi. It is safe to say that back then the Uchiha weren't mixing with Senju DNA. However senju DNA enhances the use Izangi and Izanami.
