There is a huge difference between the element of surprise an a Deus ex Machina (asspull).

a Deus ex Machina is when some new event, character, ability, or object solves a seemingly unsolvable problem in a sudden, unexpected way.

Deus Ex Machina are solutions. They are never sudden twists that only change the understanding of a story.

The problem a Deus Ex Machina fixes must be portrayed as unsolvable or hopeless.

Sasuke escaping Deidara is an asspull
Sasuke vs Kages is a Deus Ex Machina
and Itachi's Totsuka Blade and Izanami are also asspulls.

Out of your examples, the closest one to a DeM is Killer Bee going in a tentacle.

Quite a bit?...nigga even itachi himself said it started as soon as he was stabbed so all he needed was the ending...the fight was quick as hell

Itachi was impaled my the cave's spikes and trapped in a sound genjutsu before Izanami was ready so in a 1 on 1 fight he would have lost before completing it.Kabuto was just a bad match up because he had counters for all of Itachi's attacks and could evade attacks.

Yata blocks, Totsuka Seals, Izanami loops.

Itachi solo's

Kabuto's sound/light jutsu took down both Sasuke's and Itachi's Susanoo and so did his sound genjutsu so either one would make Yata and Totsuka unusable and stop Itachi from completing Izanami. Alive Itachi dies and edo gets back under Kabuto's control.

Which was only done due to Sasuke stopping Kabuto from rewriting Itachi's control and breaking him out of the sound genjutsu, hence not a solo but a duo.
