Izanami - Tobi Already Has It!

This is my best theory on Izanami, i'm unsure on if its been posted before but if so let me know.

In the manga, Itachi has just activated Izanami, a technique that we know requires the sacrifice of one eye with MS. Itachi has also just been hit by Kabuto's dissection blade.
My theory surrounding Izanami is that we have already seen it a LOT in the anime and manga before.

Firstly - During Japanese Mythology, Izanami and Izanagi are both brother and sister, while being spouse - they are the Gods that created the islands - therefore the Gods of creation.
Comparing this to the anime - we already know that Izanagi bends the line between Illusion and Reality and allows one to be "reborn" or "recreated" in an alternate reality.

So what does this mean for Izanami?

We know that Tobi can use Izanagi - we saw him use it against Konan during her final battle, which sacrificed his eye.

We ALSO know that Tobi only ever has ONE visible eye UNTIL he gets the Rinnigan.
My suggestion is that Tobi has used Izanami before, - Izanami being a form of 'creation', therefore Izanami may be the creation of Alternate dimensions/Planes.

We know that Tobi is able to teleport from place to place, and we also know how. Through the use of a Portal that he creates to an alternate dimension that bends space and time (the fact that he is able to move instantaneously from one place to another in the real world suggests that time is altered (somewhat like tsukuyomi))

Therefore, Izanami is the secret behind Tobi's teleportation - he used Izanami to create his alternate reality and allow teleportation for himself as well as his dematerialization (due to being able to teleport to his universe for microseconds in order to avoid being hit by a punch etc.

Just a Theory, what do you think?

nice theory but i think izanami will allow the user to create any false reality they want and make it reality IMO

Not really fair to post if your not going to at least explain your reason why u don't agree? it makes sense if you think about it.

Good theory but care to explain how he is also able to suck people in then take them out at a later time?

It allows the teleportation to his alternate dimension through portals he created himself, wouldn't that also assume that he can bring others into it? (maybe it creates a sort of black hole? #Alternate Dimension)

Thats what izanagi did though didn't it? it distorted the boundary between reality and illusion - Danzo just chose to make himself rematerialize etc

from what i can tell, he has always had 2 eyes
doesnt mean what you said is incorrect, he has a wall of sharingan jars
but your premise for him using izanami being he only shows one eye, is incorrect

Well considering the fact that this freak know's almost about every ninjutsu in naruto (Even the name of weird summon danzo had) i would not be surprised if he uses izanami at some point.

And as for your question, no i do not think he already did it,why because his teliportation tecnique is a unique ability of his ems like kakashi has kamui,and he only need's his right eye to do so that's why he did not use that eye for izanagi and sacrificed the other 1.:shrug:

Beside's itachi already stated that izanami decides one's destiny.

And for him showing only 1 eye is only to creep the hell out of people.

Just think about a man with mask sucking in and out thing's\people via a hole in the eye. Man that's what i call creepyxd

There's no reason to believe that Tobi's teleportation is his "natural" MS ability, after all he's able to use Amaratsu because he has both eyes but we are yet to see him use Tsukuyomi / Susano'o. How does the ability of the MS alone create an entirely new dimension? - I believe "the creation of all things" ie - this new dimension - would have to stem from something greater than merely an MS technique.

To put it simply, its more likely to be a new jutsu that creates another dimension rather than just a natural ability possessed by Tobi cause of his MS.

That description is EXTREMELY vague, that could mean any number of things, "deciding one's destiny" could be for that person to be sent to the next dimension, who knows.

Also, i think that Tobi is a little smarter than someone who wears a 1 eye mask just to be creepy, more like hes attempting to conceal his identity - but that has already been dealt with in this thread - he has both eyes when he is behind Konan

Orochimaru already had a seperate dimension inside his mind where he dose the ritual and tobi is an ems user he sucks him self in his own mind i think. well Just one day left and we will know i think.

yeah, i cant wait lol, Orochimaru's was created due to his white snake immortality jutsu, he created it through his exploration of all Jutsu's but it was in his mind, it didnt allow him to teleport himself, etc
