Hey guys, This is a bit of an insignificant point so I'll be brief lol. among all the theories and explainations of the workings of Izanami that follow the release of this week's chapter, something else stands out to me as interesting about how it is Itachi in particular is the one to use this genjustsu.

Notice how the effects of Izanami reflect the effect Itachi has on the plot progression of the series, Itachi essentially drove Sasuke's destiny through the course of naruto. He never forced Sasuke to do anything, but instead guided him to come to his own conclusions, to "accept his destiny" on his own.

However, Itachi's plan for Sasuke has taken a turn for the worst now, and Itachi has started talking about how one must accept who they truly are to be strong. Personally I think the underlying meaning of this fight for the Uchiha brothers is this:

Itachi wants to appologise to Sasuke for trying to force this destiny on him, and wants Sasuke to look to who he truly is to decide what to do without influence from Konoha, Itachi, Orochimaru, Tobi, or anyone else (as he has been guided by all of the above and told what to believe)

Maybe this point is a little loose and vague, but does anyone else get this feeling from the Uchiha vs. Kabuto fight?

Yes I to thought he was also speaking to Sasuke and Kabuto as and possibly thinking of Naruto and Himself when he said it.

Good point, this could definitely link to others involved as well, as most characters are guilty of doing something to change others' perspective and reasoning
