Izanami makes no sense?

Ok so this is something that has bothered me for a while, I forgot about it until the latest episode. If this has already been discussed somewhere else please just link me to it. Im going to keep it short as I assume most of you know the specifics of what im talking about.

I dont get how Izanagi could have been such a problem that Izanami would be necessary. It is said that Uchihas would rely too much on Izanagi to get the result they wanted, and in the anime one Uchiha was talking about doing all these things and ruling the shinobi world thanks to his Izanagi. How would that even be a plausible thought to any sane person considering you can only use it twice? Which would also lead to you essentially losing all your powers. I just dont get how something that can not be used frequently, and that has such dire consequences could be such a problem. Especially a big enough problem for someone else to sacrifice the same thing just to fix it.

Edit: It says here they "used it too much for themselves" which makes no sense when talking about a 2shot ability..

If I was them I wouldve just let the fool use Izanagi a second time and go blind, no need for Izanami. I keep my eye, he goes blind, problem solved. If Im missing something please explain.

The only reason why I can think of reason why is because izanagi was making the uchiha slowly... whats that words im looking for? ffs.. extinguish in numbers or some shit like that. Izanami was created as a deterrent, not nescassarily to be actually used but just to prevent Uchiha from using Izanagi.

Its just an example of what the manga said happened.. I dont see the mistake here. Im smart enough to know anime facts arent manga facts. Next time Ill make up a random scenario off the top of my head. Fact is the Uchiha abused Izanagi, pointing out the specifics of how they abused it is not the point.

I see what youre saying, that makes sense kinda. I dont get why any Uchiha that isnt an idiot would use it anyway unless it was absolutely necessary. Let alone "abuse" it. I dont see how you can abuse a 2 shot ability.. a 2 shot ability that takes away the source of your power at that.

Crimes have no limit, you can commit as many crimes as you see fit. You can only use Izanagi twice and youre blind for life. Is the threat of taking away your powers and eyesight lesser than that of being put in a loop for a while? I think not.

Creating a deterrent that is less intimidating than the initial consequences makes even less sense than "abusing" something with 2 shots.

It's the sense of power gained from using it, I mean, who wouldn't like to have that much control over their state of existence, and their destiny? The Uchiha are already known to have a delicate mental balance, so giving them so much power drives them quite literally, a little crazy.

Agreed. But then again Izanami was just a convenient plot device to make it such that Kabuto couldn't win that fight, so the amount of justification for it is menial.

Izanami ensures the best use of izanagi by ruling out all kind of selfish crap or second intentions from izanagi user,
