Izanami + Izanagi question

Itachi said that Izanami was developed to counter Izanagi

But why? I'm not sure I even understand. An Uchiha would only have two eyes.


You wouldn't know they were gonna use Izanagi unless they used it once. Using one eye. So you recreate the same situation somehow and hope that they didn't use their other eye to use Izanagi again.. Because if they did then that person is totally blind and you just wasted your eye.


It seems like it would be more effective against someone like Danzo with a bunch of Sharingans to use izanagi.

Unless they had stashes of eyes like Tobi it seems like a waste of an eye.

Maybe with an uchiha it's effect has a cool down, just like Shisui's mangekyou?or no i forgot, they get blind... but what if a MS uses it ?

This^ it makes prefect sense its said izanagi last 30seconds 60 if you have senju dna ehy would they need to make a justu to counter that if they can predict what justu is goin to be used
