Just watched the fight between Konan and Obito, and Obito said that in order to gain access to the power of Izanagi, one must also have cells from Hashirama. But that can't be when Itachi said that several Uchiha died trying to use Izanagi to gain more power and status. Also, it may not have been Izanagi that Itachi used, but he did use Izanami--which was called Izanagi's second half--and he didn't have Hashirama's cells.

Is there any clarification later on in the series?

Watch Itachi vs Kabuto. Plenty of uchiha were using Izanagi without Hashirama's cells.

A pure-bred Uchiha with Senju DNA could use Izanagi upwards of 10 minutes.
A non-Uchiha with Senju DNA could use Izanagi for 1 minute per eye.
So it stands to reason that a pure-bred Uchiha without Senju DNA could use Izanagi for 1 minute per eye.
And a non-Uchiha without Senju DNA wouldn't use it at all, or would likely die from chakra tax.

Those are called fillers, you know not to condone those things.
On topic, izanagi requires senju and uchiha blood and power to use it, but transcipt seals can be used by mangekyo sharingan users because the real izanagi is suppose to use 3 tomoe not ms.

He was talking about the "Creation of all Things;" the actual form of Izanagi. Without Senju DNA, it can be used and abused. Izanami was created to counter it. Itachi clearly states so in the manga. Madara also used it without Hashirama's DNA.

There is also an "incomplete form," which is exactly what I was talking about, and it is already a canon fact that you don't need Senju DNA, as Uchiha were using it for decades, and Madara used it without absorbing Hashirama's DNA yet.

Itachi cleary stated a bunch of Uchiha were using Izanagi, so HashiRoids are not needed.

Yup, hashi cells aint required, hashi cells to my understanding just prolongs the izanagi technique, + it's an uchiha kinjutsu, not uchiha + hashi cells, if it was, the uchiha's that invented it would be in tobirama's/hiruzens era when hashi is dead and they somehow have access to his dna.

Cuz for sure hashi won't be donating his dna for an uchiha kinjutsu when he was alive, so no it does'nt require hashi dna

I m just trying to be clear and bring the right quote if He said"It can be used" or "can be mastered". Because there's a difference in that.
