during obito's fight with with konan he mentioned that to use izanagi one must have both senju and uchia DNA ..

but during the brothers vs kabuto fight itachi said that izanagi was a jutsu created by the uchiha clan ...to use in a war which they had to win at all cost....

this means that all the uchihas who used izanagi during that war had senju dna in them ???

I believe what he means is that only those with uchiha and senju power can use the perfect izanagi that he used. Normal izanagi is done without senju cells and doesn't last nearly as long. at best ten seconds

It's not like it lasts 10secs. They control their state of existence but it is normally active for only the briefest of moments.

What I meant was the time in which the technique can remain active before the sharingan is sealed. e.g. danzo's izanagi lasted 60 seconds while obito's lasted over 10 mins.

Obito was referring to himself. As he already said in the Danzo fight, Izanagi lasts very briefly (A few seconds), and it differs per Uchiha. Danzo's control over Senju dna allowed him to use it for 60 seconds. Obitos control allowed him to use it for 10 minutes. It was made pretty obvious for Sasuke's speech and Itachi's story that Izanagi is still usable by the Uchiha. An Izanagi used under eyes that don't go blind, with the chakra capacity of Sasuke? That's a little scary to some people.

Other than Sasuke conjecture when Itachi adds that casters of the jutsu in question will be deprived of their light, His personal observation of danzo spamming the glory off the technique indicates to him that Izanagi straps-in,( not out like your typical genjutsu.)

So it is undertandable he asked how to utilize Izanagi over kabuto ahead of Itachi's mention of Izanami, rather than how to activate it.

I think Senju DNA is a pretty principal thing for Itachi to omit when he went over both Izanami/Izanagi origins if it is indeed compulsory to set the Jutsu in motion, but goddamit
he didn't.

We just need more instances of its uses, Ideally from back in the day.
