Izanagi?

I don't think that izanagi required senju DNA. I say this because, izanami doesn't. Another reason why I say this is because itachi said that uchihas back in the day spammed izanagi. You mean to tell me that all of them had senju DNA? Doubt it. If that we're the case then how come none had rinnegan? I jus think that it makes more sense that izanagi is an uchiha tech that doesn't require senju DNA.

Izanagi turns reality into imagination to escape death or a fatal wound. This technique is a pure Sharingan based technique. So a Uchiha as well as a non-Uchiha having Sharingan can use this technique. In Danzo's case, he was wielding 10 Sharingans which uses lots of chakra for a non-Uchiha. Weilding 10 Sharingans needed high physical energy, which can be obtained from a powerful Senju DNA like Hashirama Senju (descendant of younger son possessing the Sage's physical body having strong life force)

Uchiha & Senju DNA for Izanagi? No. Obviously Tobi lied.

There are two things Senju DNA does over a Sharingan:

- Reduces the timespan between Kinjutsu techniques
- Requirement to awake the Rinnegan

A regular Uchiha can execute the Izanagi/Izanami with the Sharingan at the cost of shutting the eye 'for a very long time', but with Senju DNA you can reduce the timespan for this eye being available again.

There are three known sharingan jutsus that have this timespan limit... Kotoamatsukami, Izanagi and Izanami. If Itachi had Senju DNA, he could use his Kotoamatsukami more times... thing that Danzou did.
