Izanagi

This may have been mentioned before, but did anyone ever question how there were so many Uchiha that were able to perform Izanagi? To do so would require both Uchiha and Senju DNA. Izanagi got so out of hand that they even needed to create Izanami as a counter.

That would mean there were a hell of a lot of Uchiha with Senju DNA. Idk if this was before or after Madara's time, but when Tobi/Obito used it against Konan, she was shocked at the fact that such a thing was possible.

Any thoughts to this and how so many Uchiha were able to obtain such power from the supposed arch rivals?

The only possible answer I can come up with is that many, many people started doing what Danzo did. But that's unlikely.

Senju DNA is used to perfect Izanagi. Danzo had an imperfect form because he was neither Uchiha or Senju.

Tobi right after that statement "Its only available to those with the powers of both senju and uchiha" proves that there are incomplete izanagis with the statment in the bottom right panel. Izanagis that can be performed without the powers of senju and uchiha.

Reading the page below, its easy to understand they are talking about the sages power (Uchiha+Senju)

Danzo most certainly =/= the sage's power. Danzo's Izanagi =/= Obito's Izanagi. Thus Obito is referring to the perfected Izanagi.



Even more, Itachi refers to izanami as "another" izanagi, which easily makes sense. Izangi turns reality into illusion, and izanami is the reverse, turning illusions into reality. Snapping others out their dreams and making them face reality. Even more, they both causes the eye to go blind, which we know no regular eye technique of the Uchiha causes such effects. It is "another one" according to Itachi, and he doesn't have senju DNA.

Notice Itachi's statement in the last panel? "Because you cannot cast genjutsu on someone that uses the same eyes." We know he's not saying that a sharingan user cannot cast a genjutsu on another sharingan user, because Itachi already put not only Kakashi, but also Sasuke under genjutsu. Notice how Itachi tells Sasuke he can only defeat him if Sasuke come before him with the "same eyes". And well..unless it make sense that a regular uchiha eye technique was able to overcome the sages power.

Izanami is the same. And again, Itachi doesn't have senju DNA.
