I was wondering...while izanagi is active, can the user fake his death multiple times? During the battle between danzo and sasuke, it seemed that danzo's eyes would close after each death, and not after 60 seconds of usage...

if it is active then yes

well he could activate it only once every 60 sec . so if he dies before 60 sec and his passes away he cannot use it and therefore he dies

That's the whole point of izanagi

yes ofc. how do you explaintobi continuesly dying for 5 minutes against konan?! in danzou's case it simplyseemed like one death=one izanagi because he kept dying a short time after reappearing.
