Doesn't Izanami only works if the opponent doesn't know himself? After they accept their fate the jutsu stops. Izanami needs to much requirements, i prefer Izanagi, after all it can save your life and the user can always transplant another Sharingan as well.

The eye transplant? It happens all the time in Naruto. Rin did it to Obito in the middle of a war without all the proper medical equipment or assistance. Madara and Obito aren't medical ninjas per se and do it to, its not a big deal in narutoverse.
They both waste one eye but Izanami takes a bit prep and doesn't work on everyone.

Rin was trained in medical jutsu. It wasn't like she did it with a rusty spoon and didn't use anything else. Madara and Obito have been harvesting eyes for so long. Wasn't it stated that it wasn't an easy process though?

Easy or not, the eyes were obtainable.
Precisely, and also people who're confused about their identity. How many shinobi use Izanagi or wee mentally ill like Kabuto? It reduces drastically the one's chances of using it, while Izanagi can always be used on itself.
