Izanagi misused

I think izanagi is haxxer than its depicted to be, i mean one can make illusion reality within a certain period, why limit yourself to just countering moves and not using it offensively like say enhancing yourself with speed/power, or creating/spamming nukes before the time expires, the possibilities of using izanagi offensively is endless, but it was nerfed to be only a defensive ability. Your thoughts.

I guess because Izanagi enables the user to restore themselves to a state of their choosing they were in within the duration of the Izanagi and not actually enhance themselves beyond their limits.

Well to be honest, sometimes izanami is useless against some ninja's who doesn't accept themselves which is a huge disadvantage for this jutsu and doesn't make it a jutsu that worth to be used against strong opponents.

It is a Kinjutsu. The used eye is rendered blind, it comes to a great cost if used offensively. I understand why it is used for defensive purposes, to save your life, you sacrifice your eye.

Offensively would be just ridiculous. Why would one sacrifice his sight just to use something that might not work or the opponent has a counter? The risk is too high.

Yea it makes sense, but it was stated the uchiha's abused izanagi thats why izanami was invented, tbh why they abuse a jutsu that makes them go blind is above me lol

No it was said that izanagi breaks the boudary between illusion and reality, meaning one can manifest his thoughts and make them reality, basically reality warping

What Anicetus said, all it does is reverse and alter a momentary event, it doesn't actually allow you to perform any feat, an Uchiha wouldn't be able to give himself 8Gates or six path jutsu with Izanagi.
