You are correct, that is why danzo went through so much
to get dna of senju and the eyes of an uchiha, so he could
make it a more practical jutsu

Its so lame. Yeah its useful but its a complete cop-out. I complain a lot that at this point the series is just a bunch of magic tricks but this is one of the pinnacles of magicry in the series. Its not even just tricking the brain like normal genjutsu it is tricking the world. Controlling your own state of existence? Come on Kish....

If you make yourself not exist how do you make yourself exist again if you dont exist? Then why cant you control the existence of things that exist in your existence?

Its just a story, but look at it this way. When your hit by a jutsu
you may use a replacement tech, Izangai is a more advance form
of this jutsu. Adding this to the uchiha clan is actually quite fitting,
try reading up on some Shinto history. lol

Izanagi does not REQUIRE Senju DNA, as the Uchiha themselves labeled it a Kinjutsu, and obviously it's extremely unlikely that enough Uchiha would ahve been able to acquire it (specifically Hashirama's anyway) for that to have occurred. Hashirama's DNA simply bolsters their physical energy and when mastering his cells, the user has then obtained a "complete" Izanagi, according to Tobi.
