**IF YOU HAVEN'T READ CHAPTER 287, TURN BACK NOW**

Seriously? Laxus owns him, along with his strongest members in about 10 minutes? I wanted to see more of a struggle at the least... Anyone agree or disagree?

Here's a picture for reference:

really dissapointed in this if laxus had won he should have atleast a hard fight with ivan, i mean ivan had a freaking anti fairy tail guild who has trained seven years and specialised powers against fairy tail and ivan is a guild master and son of makarov and got so much hype but wtf was his lame ass magic laxus didn´t even had any problems in the fight this was freaking lame

Personally, the 'evil plan' of Raven Tail was stale. It wasn't clicking with me. And perhaps, that's the feedback Hiro got and thus, he decided not to make it a main storyline of this Tournament Arc. If you look at it, he dismissed Iwan to secondary rank instantly and brought back Zeref. He's playing his cards with safety.

I wished though that Hiro worked his ass, pulled out a major upset with Iwan and Raven Tail and made it awesome, instead of giving up in such a lame way.

All-in-all, it's speculation but I think, Hiro himself didn't believe in Iwan and dropped the storyline. All the hype with Lucy kidnapping, trolling of Gray and Lucy and dirty schemes to end up with being owned in 2 minutes by Laxus seems weird.

I personally agree with this, its not the first time that Hiro has played it out like something is going to happen, and then made it a no biggy so quickly that you can't help but think he changed his mind. He did this in Ravemaster where he got everyone thinking there was going to be a new protagonist for several chapters as well as emphasizing the fact with flash backs and at the last minute it turned out to be nothing.

Gajeel's group probably did some epic training? That's the only explanation I have for this...

Well remember Laxus was able to hold his own against Hades for a while before he got blasted out of commission and lending his power to Natsu :/ So he had to have been doing excessive training between the arc he went ape shit in and the end of the Tenrou Island Arc, then after the 7 yr time-skip FT B-Team must have done even more insane training after they found out they were the weakest guild.

I wanna see how much both Laxus and Gajeel improved in a serious fight
