no when he said that he was looking that jiraiyas picture..
so i guess he ment the picture..
but he could also mean more things.
like the will and same thoughts as jiraiya, and because he was his student.

The thing is, in that particular instance, you see Naruto reminiscing about Jiraiya and the final thing discussed before his flashback ended was an autograph. So that statement in and of itself was probably meant to literally mean the book, but upon looking a bit more "deeply" into, any kind of interaction between Naruto and Jiraiya will have more substance.

hmmm um how about important as in a task to complete like a got more important things to do now which is avenge you or complete this mystery technique

I somewhat believe it might have to do with Going back to Konoha to protect it.

From what I can guess, the story in Jiraiya's book handles about a character fighting and defending Konoha till his last breath. He wouldn't stop protecting Konoha even if others failed to, he would keep believing. Following on the story Naruto thinks "he has something more importantly to do"

Could be something in the line of going back to Konoha and just as Jiraiya's book, protect what is valuabe to him. After all, Naruto knows Konoha is in danger with Pein on his way looking for Naruto
