I don't know why we are never shown Indra and Ashura fight or Hagoromo and Hamura fight against Kaguya, those are powerful Ninjas yet we are never shown them battling.

We only know Hagoromo is powerful, but we don't know any of his feat because we never saw him battle.

Correction. They're not ninjas. They're overpowered beings. They have truth seeking balls. They can create dimensions, moons, etc. they called it ninshuu not ninjutsu. They don't go on stealth kills and missions. They don't use Kunai. Kaguaya, hagoromo, and hamura were not ninjas.

I don't mind that we didn't get to see them. They were sort of meant to be a mystery. I just don't like Kishi's plot holes, retcons, and unclear origin story.

The way I picture it, the fight is closer to Sasuke v Naruto than it did Hashirama v Madara.

So Ashura used his life energy thing with three arms, but he also entrusted with all the power:

Ashura with rsm+all of the power hago gave him vs Indra with PS and uchiha ninjustus he created

To be honest when Kishi made a history out of rivalaries it kinda ruined the rivalries for me. I mean don't get me wrong Naruto vs Sasuke was a unique rivalry. But it did not need parallels of other rivalries.
