The statement was made on a Japanese talk show. He didn't mean it was ending now, he said it's coming to a close. That means slowly, but surely, this series is coming to an end soon. It saddens me u_u

This has been confirmed long ago. 2 years ago, he said this was the final arc, and that it would end in about 2 years. Surely many authors change their mind, but it's good it will end the way he planned.

Anything else could only become worse... I'd rather remember it for a "OK" ending than a bad.

Isn't it supposed to end sometime in 2014? It most likely has more a couple months left. Think about it 3 months is less than 12 chapters with breaks. He can't completely resolve everything successfully that fast. I predict the manga will continue until late 2014.

naruto coming to an end was the real disaster the myans were talking about.they were just 2 years off.
