It's really off that Kishi made so many mistakes in this chapter...

No, this is NOT Tobito whining thread. I'm pretty happy that Tobi turned out to be Obito.

The thing is, these past events shown in yesterday's chapter, they contradict earlier information from the manga and databooklets:

1) The most obvious one, Minato's face carved in rock. Minato wasn't Hokage back when Obito was alive.

2) It was shown that Kakashi took part in chunin exam with Obito, Rin, Asuma, Kurenai, Gai, etc. However, according to databooklet and manga, Kakashi became a chunin at the age of 6, so all these other people were still in the academy then (for example: Obito became genin at the age of 9, Guy became genin at the age of 7).


I find this very, very weird. Kishimoto has always been consistent with the timeline and now, in such an important chapter, that he probably thought over a hundred times, we have two major timeline inconsistencies.

Again, this topic is NOT about plotholes resulting from Tobi=Obito, since this will still be explained. If you want to talk about them, go somewhere else. This is ONLY about these memories shown in last chapter.

In my opinion Kishi should re-draw this chapter as soon as possible and make the current version not canon. In the newer version, Minato face shouldn't be on the wall and Kakashi should participate in chunin exam with some random ninja, while Obito, Rin, Guy and the rest should be still in the academy.

Additionally, there are a number of ways Kishi can remedy the plot holes, including, but not limited to, time travel (via Kamui) or more likely the existence of more than one masked man over time.

Don't people proof read this stuff though, normal fans who don't even know the manga as well as they do spotted this easily, surely editors and stuff would also spot it, there is certainly something fishy going on, that many inconsistencies seems weird.

Kakashi's statement from this page is backed up with databooklet's information, that Kakashi became a chunin at the age of 6. The same databooklet states Obito to become genin at the age of 9.

there are no mistakes , even in the flash back shown kishi never said minato wasn't hokage when tobi is alive, the only thing that makes you think like that is he was directly participating in war ,since there r two hokages the older one sits in the office and gives missions and other one participates in mission to increase the name money for village
for the kakashi is of 6 means the other guys (Obito and Gai) are elder than kakashi and are in academy even before kakshi joined it, and they passed at same year or the chunin exams takes place twice in a year so it's their second or third try but kakashi became chunin in 1st try.
remember shikamaru is the only chunin after naruto chunin examination, others didn't make it , naruto is still genin

Just because they graduated at the same time doesn't mean they are the same age. And it was shown that obito didn't become a chunnin the first try, so while kakashi was 6 when he became chunnin, obito didn't become one till he was 9 and shortly after, kakashi became jounin. So saying that the age makes no sense doesn't make sense. Not everyone graduate from the academy at the same age, so there is a possibility that some might be older. And we don't know when Minato became the Hokage
