When you think about it, ashura and naruto don't deserve to be in the same class as their rival indra/sasuke.

Hagoromo gave his power to only ashura yet indra was able to battle him almost on the same level. What would have happened if Hagoromo didn't do what he did. Indra would have wiped his ass with ashura. Of course, there would have been no fight in the first place but you get the idea.
Naruto has the kyuubi 's chakra. Got handed chakra from 8 Bijuu and Hagoromo's chakra. The only thing he really worked for was his sage powers and thay I respect.
Sasuke got given Hagoromo's chakra but without it he'd still have his EMS and rinnegan ( he has hashirama chakra) he took Itachi ' s eyes to prevent blindness ( but he won this in battle ,debatable)
It's funny when you think about it but in the ashura line, hashirama is the most powerful person and he got his power by himself. No one to hand him any power ups.
In the indra line. Madara or Sasuke is the most powerful. This is because they have achieved rinnegan along with their EMS. Indra never reached this level. Madara got his rinnegan himself by stealing hashirama cells. While Sasuke kinda had it handed to him when Kabuto healed him.
Of everyone, only the first generation transmigrants achieved the power level they attained strictly on merit.

Naruto also had to learn how to get along with the beast before he could use their powers and also had to worry about his own chakra being taken before he learned how to use the TB chakra.

Like Naruto Sasuke received his powerups due to other people. And Like Naruto, He had to train in order to learn to use it to its fullest potential. Doesn't matter how either of them acquired the power. the fact is that they both had to train, and in Sasuke's case, fight to learn to use their power.
